Hospital Inpatient Services Modernization Act (HR4313)
Current understanding
HR4313 would extend Medicare’s Acute Hospital Care at Home Program, a COVID-era waiver allowing hospitals to provide inpatient-level care in patients’ homes, through fiscal year 2030. The bill also directs CMS to conduct a comparative study examining quality of care, costs, services delivered, and patient demographics relative to traditional inpatient hospital settings.
