School Building Construction Requirements
Current understanding
Michigan’s 1937 PA 306 sets construction requirements for public school buildings. HB5033 (103rd Legislature) would exempt school building construction projects costing less than $5,000,000 from certain of these requirements, potentially lowering compliance costs for smaller district projects while narrowing the scope of state construction oversight.
