Physician Assistant Licensure Compact

Current understanding

Michigan HB 4309 would enact a Physician Assistant Licensure Compact by amending sec. 18001 of 1978 PA 368 and adding secs. 16188, 17011b, 17511b, and 18011b to the Public Health Code. The compact would allow PAs licensed in Michigan to practice across member states under a multistate licensure agreement, mirroring the interstate compact frameworks already advancing for physical therapists and occupational therapists. Bill has passed one chamber.
