Missing Senior, Vulnerable Adult & Veterans at Risk Alert

Current understanding

HB 5387 (2025, passed chamber) amends Section 2 of 2012 PA 176 (MCL 28.712) to expand Michigan’s missing senior or vulnerable adult alert system to include missing veterans at risk. The change extends existing alert-dissemination infrastructure to a new covered population without creating a new mechanism; law enforcement and broadcasters retain the same roles under the statute.
