Medicaid Retroactive Coverage
Current understanding
Michigan Medicaid rules governing retroactive eligibility — the period before an application date during which medical services can be covered for newly-enrolled beneficiaries. HB5814 proposes to add sec. 106c to 1939 PA 280 (the Social Welfare Act) to modify these retroactive coverage provisions, which affects patients, hospitals, and providers who deliver care before formal enrollment.
