Ibogaine Clinical Trials Framework
Current understanding
Michigan House Bill 6020 of the 103rd Legislature proposes to amend sec. 7212 of the Public Health Code (1978 PA 368, MCL 333.7212) and add new sections 2222, 2222a, and 2222b to establish a legal framework enabling participation in ibogaine clinical trials. Ibogaine is a Schedule I controlled substance, and the bill would carve out research access for clinical trial participants and investigators. The bill has been introduced.
