Adulterated or Raw Human Milk Provision Offense
Current understanding
SB0724 (companion bill) would create a criminal offense for the provision of adulterated or raw human milk for human consumption, and SB0726 amends the sentencing guidelines (MCL 777.12m, ch. XVII of 1927 PA 175) to include this new offense. Both bills are tied together and introduced. Providers/sellers of raw or adulterated human milk would face criminal penalties under the sentencing framework; recipients and consumers gain a regulatory-backed protection.
