SMART Internship Grant Program

Current understanding

The Student Mental Health Apprenticeship Retention and Training (SMART) internship grant program was established under 2022 PA 180 to fund internships aimed at building and retaining the K-12 school mental health workforce (e.g., school psychologists, social workers, counselors).
