Driver Training Curriculum Requirements

Current understanding

Michigan’s driver training curriculum is governed by 2006 PA 384 (MCL 256.621–256.705). HB 5767 (introduced) would add a new section 40 requiring instruction in work zone safety as part of driver education, tie-barred with HB 5768. The change would affect what new drivers—typically teens in driver’s ed programs—must be taught before licensure.
