CTE Credit for Foreign Language Graduation Requirement

Current understanding

HB6108 would amend MCL 380.1278a (Revised School Code sec. 1278a) to allow career and technical education (CTE) credits to satisfy Michigan’s high school foreign language graduation requirement. If enacted, students pursuing CTE pathways would gain flexibility to complete graduation requirements without a separate world-language course, and districts would need to update counseling and transcripting practices accordingly.
