SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This 36(b) arms sales notification is published to fulfill the requirements of section 155 of Public Law 104- 164 dated July 21, 1996. Why this matters

This $4.5 billion notification would extend the UAE’s integrated missile-defense architecture by adding a Long-Range Discrimination Radar tied into its existing THAAD deployment, alongside Sentinel A4 uplinkers and fire-control stations. It represents one of the largest single MENA FMS packages of the period and deepens US role in Gulf ballistic-missile defense sensing and command infrastructure.
