Why this matters

Jordan is a longstanding recipient of US Foreign Military Financing, and FMF-funded arms notifications transfer US-appropriated dollars back to US defense contractors while equipping a partner military. This $280M radar and C2 package expands Jordan’s air surveillance and battle-management capacity, adding to the running ledger of US security commitments in the region.
