Why this matters

LTAMDS is the next-generation 360-degree radar replacing the Patriot’s sectored sensor, and an eight-unit package pairs directly with Kuwait’s pending IBCS and Patriot missile enhancements to constitute a full integrated air and missile defense architecture. Taken together, the three 2026 Kuwait notifications describe a layered US-supplied IAMD stack — sensors, command-and-control, and interceptors — being sold as a system.
