Why this matters

AMRAAM sales are a core instrument of US air-superiority partnerships in the Gulf, and a $1.22B UAE package sits alongside prior PAC-3 MSE and APKWS notifications as part of a sustained US buildout of Emirati air and missile capabilities. Tracking the specific missile variant (C-7 vs C-8) and quantity matters because it signals which fighter platforms and threat sets the package is scoped to.
