Department of Agriculture obligated $131.6M to UNITED NATIONS WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME, for work in ETH. THE WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME (WFP) WILL, OVER AN APPROXIMATELY 18-MONTH PERIOD, UTILIZE U.S. AGRICULTURAL COMMODITIES AND FAS FUNDS TO DELIVER LIFESAVING ACTIVITIES TO 1,982,611 PEOPLE IN ETHIOPIA. WFP AIMS TO IMPROVE FOOD SECURITY OUTCOMES AMONG TARGETED VULNERABLE ETHIOPIANS, AND REFUGEES, AS WELL AS ENHANCE THE NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF PREGNANT AND BREASTFEEDING WOMEN AND CHILDREN UNDER FIVE.
