Abstract
(Rule · Energy Department) The Department of Energy (DOE or the Department) is publishing this document to finalize the proposed rule and respond to comments received on the notice of proposed rulemaking (NOPR) entitled, “Application for Authorization to Transmit Electric Energy to a Foreign Country,” published on May 16, 2025. This final rule will simplify the application process for authorizations to transmit electric energy to a foreign country, as required by the Federal Power Act (FPA).
