Abstract
(Proposed Rule · Homeland Security Department, Coast Guard) The Coast Guard is proposing to revise its existing regulation to add a new recurring Special Local Regulation (SLR) for certain navigable waters of the Cuyahoga River. The SLR is necessary to provide for the safety of life on these waters during the Cleveland Dragon Boat Festival, which occurs annually on or around the 4th weekend in August. This proposed rulemaking would prohibit persons and vessels from entering the regulated area unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector Eastern Great Lakes or his designated representative.
