Abstract
(Rule · Transportation Department, Federal Aviation Administration) The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Bombardier, Inc. Model BD-700-1A10 and BD-700-1A11 airplanes. This AD was prompted by an in-service event where a main landing gear tire burst upon landing. This AD requires an inspection to determine if an affected brake control unit (BCU) is installed and replacement of affected BCUs. This AD also prohibits the installation of affected parts. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
