Venezuela Sanctions Regulations — General Licenses

Current understanding

OFAC is formally publishing in the Federal Register three general licenses (GLs 46, 46A, and 46B) issued under the Venezuela Sanctions Regulations (31 CFR Part 591) that had previously only been posted on OFAC’s website. The action is administrative codification rather than a substantive policy change; the underlying authorizations and their scope for U.S. persons transacting with otherwise-blocked Venezuelan parties remain as previously published. Status: final rule publication.
