EVICTED Act (HR6099) — Palestinian Territory Expedited Removal
Current understanding
The Evicting Violent Islamic Criminals That Entered Deviously (EVICTED) Act, HR6099, would authorize DHS to place unlawfully present noncitizens who are residents of the Palestinian Territories into expedited removal without further hearing or review, unless the individual claims asylum or a fear of persecution. The practical effect would be to subject a narrowly defined nationality/residency group to accelerated removal procedures already used for other categories under INA §235(b), with an asylum/credible-fear carve-out preserved. Status: introduced.
