Current understanding
Introduced legislation that would establish a five-year Medicaid Section 1115-style demonstration program under which participating states receive at least a 90% federal medical assistance percentage (FMAP) for comprehensive opioid and substance use disorder services delivered through certified ‘Health Engagement Hubs.’ The hubs would integrate low-barrier access to medications for opioid use disorder, harm reduction, behavioral health, and social supports.
