Current understanding

The Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Program (COSSUP) is a DOJ grant program supporting state and local responses to substance use. Pending legislation would expand allowable uses to include purchasing fentanyl containment devices and training first responders to prevent secondary exposure. Current status: bill introduced.
