Community Paramedicine Program
Current understanding
Community paramedicine is a care delivery model in which paramedics provide non-emergency, community-based health services (e.g., chronic disease follow-up, home visits, care navigation) beyond traditional 911 response. Federal legislation to formally establish or fund a community paramedicine program is at the introduction stage; HR4011 (Community Paramedicine Act of 2025) has been referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
