Anti-Racism in Public Health Act
Current understanding
The Anti-Racism in Public Health Act of 2023 proposes establishing a CDC National Center on Antiracism and Health to conduct research and data collection framing racism as a public health crisis, along with a separate law enforcement violence prevention program administered through CDC grants. As introduced legislation, it would create new federal institutional infrastructure and grant authorities but has not advanced to enactment.
