- 2025-05-09 — Providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Department of Energy relating to “Energy Conservation Program: Energy Conservation Standards for Commercial Refrigerators, Freezers, and Refrigerator-Freezers”.: H.J.Res.75 became Public Law 119-9 on 2025-05-09, nullifying under the CRA the DOE/EERE final rule published January 21, 2025, so commercial refrigerators, freezers, and refrigerator-freezers are no longer required to meet the tightened standards by the January 22, 2029 compliance date.
