HR8720 (Campaign Finance Transparency Act, introduced in the 119th Congress) would expand federal campaign contribution disclosure by eliminating the $200 itemized reporting threshold so that all contributions to federal candidates and committees are individually reported. The bill would also require credit and debit card verification and name matching for online donations and strengthen existing prohibitions on contributions made in the name of another (straw donations).
