Current understanding
The Stop Child Hunger Act of 2025 would expand USDA Summer EBT grocery benefits beyond the summer period to cover any school closure, remote-learning, or hybrid-instruction stretch of five or more consecutive weekdays, raise the daily per-child benefit to reflect breakfast, lunch, and a snack, and temporarily increase the federal share of state administrative costs.
