Specialty Crops Trade Barriers Reporting
Current understanding
USDA produces an annual specialty crops trade report under the Technical Assistance for Specialty Crops program. Pending legislation (Specialty CROP Act of 2026) would expand that report to require specific information on foreign barriers and distortions affecting U.S. specialty crop exports, mandate consultation with USTR, and require public availability. Status: introduced.
