Farm Storage Facility Loan Program (FSFL)
Current understanding
The Farm Storage Facility Loan Program (FSFL), administered by USDA’s Farm Service Agency, provides low-interest financing to producers for building or upgrading on-farm storage and handling facilities for eligible commodities. Eligible facility types have expanded incrementally over time, and pending proposals (e.g., the GRAIN DRY Act) would add propane storage facilities used primarily in agricultural production to the list of eligible uses. Status: existing program with proposed statutory expansions pending in Congress.
